That’s why we now collaborate with specialist therapists Katy Herbert (360Neuro Physio) and Helena Amos (Helena Amos Occupational Therapy), who provide professional clinical input to help individuals overcome barriers, build functional skills, and progress toward greater independence.

Both therapy services deliver person-centred, goal-led rehabilitation focused on mobility, posture, and everyday living skills. Their clinical insight works hand-in-hand with Millercare’s equipment assessments and recommendations, ensuring every solution directly supports the person’s therapy goals and long-term progress.

To provide holistic, client-centred support, Millercare collaborates with Helena Amos Occupational Therapy, a specialist Occupational Therapy service led by Helena Amos and supported by a dedicated team of experienced therapists.

Helena, the lead Occupational Therapist, holds a First-Class Honours degree in Occupational Therapy and has over 12 years of professional experience. Alongside her skilled team, she delivers personalised, home-based therapy across the North West, helping adults live safely,confidently, and independently.

As a team, we work closely with individuals and their families to understand barriers in daily life and develop practical, achievable solutions that enhance independence and quality of life. Their work often includes supporting clients with rehabilitation and recovery goals, and addressing challenges around mobility, fatigue, falls, memory, and everyday activities such as cooking, personal care, and accessing the community.

They also provide specialist home adaptation and equipment assessments, ensuring each recommendation is tailored to the person’s abilities, lifestyle, and environment.

Led by Helena’s friendly and professional approach, our team’s values align closely with Millercare’s commitment to integrated, person-centred care. Together, we offer joined-up support that blends clinical expertise, home adaptation solutions, and high-quality mobility equipment,
promoting lasting wellbeing and independence.

Katy is a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist with extensive experience across both NHS and private healthcare settings. She qualified 10 years ago with first-class honours along with a BSc in Anatomical Sciences from the University of Manchester in 2011. Throughout her therapeutic career she has undertaken extensive specialist training in neurological rehabilitation, completing the introductory, basic and advanced Bobath courses, alongside additional qualifications in Body, Auricular Acupuncture and Sports Massage.

Katy’s early background spans across acute, intensive care, surgical and amputee rehabilitation, along with musculoskeletal practice, providing her with a strong, holistic foundation for complex neurorehabilitation and chronic conditions.

She has significant experience supporting adults after stroke, traumatic and acquired brain injury, as well as those living with other conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and spinal cord injury. Her knowledge in assistive technology, seating and mobility equipment further strengthens her functional, goal-focused approach.

As principal therapist at 360Neuro Physio, Katy leads a small team of
associate therapists who support adults with neurological and degenerative conditions across the North West. They deliver personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation designed to improve movement, confidence and independence, offering flexible therapy in clients’ homes, residential settings and community environments to ensure accessible, meaningful support tailored to each person’s needs.

Millercare Complex Assessment Team

This year, we introduced our Complex Assessment Team, a dedicated group of Millercare employees created to
support customers with more complex needs and to make the equipment provision process as smooth and reassuring as possible.

The C.A.T. brings together Millercare’s in-house product specialists with Katy and Helena’s clinical knowledge. This partnership allows us to carry out thorough assessments that take into account therapy goals, posture, mobility, comfort, home environment and day-to-day living. Every recommendation is guided by both clinical expertise and our decades of experience in mobility equipment, ensuring solutions that are safe, practical and tailored to each individual.

Integrated working with different services:

As part of our commitment to supporting people across the UK, Millercare also works closely with leading charities and funding partners. We are proud to have long-standing relationships with several organisations including the Royal British Legion, Motability, the Masonic Charitable Foundation, Help for Heroes, and Blesma.

We also work closely with case management services and we are a member of BABCM.
